Hi there! I'm Roxana Tunc.
My family lives in Ventura County and I am here to serve our local community. With nearly 20 years of experience in college admissions across the globe, I’ve seen it all—from explaining prospective students what makes them admissible to their dream college to the leading debates behind closed committee doors. I don’t just know the system; I’ve lived its internal mechanics.
I’m channeling that passion into Issues in Enrollment Management and Higher Education. It’s more than just a blog; it’s a dedicated space for higher ed leaders to peel back the layers of our industry and dive deeper into the challenges that shape student success.
But the "Insider" is Also the "Mom."
Watching my own daughter and her friends begin their college application journey changed everything for me. I realized just how overwhelming, confusing, and unsupported this milestone can feel for students and their families. I saw brilliant, capable teenagers feeling lost in a sea of requirements, and I found myself constantly at the kitchen table, guiding her friends through the "black box" of admissions. I realized that our kids don’t just need a consultant—they need a compassionate assistant and a supportive advocate.
Why I Created This Resource
I am blending years of institutional knowledge with the empathy of a parent who is "in the trenches" right alongside you. My goal is to provide more than just strategy; I provide a partnership in finding the college where your child will truly thrive, I am here to make this milestone what it should be: an exciting celebration of everything your child has achieved.
